A 1:1 build day

AI in a Day with Jay — turn meetings into same-day follow-through.

A 1:1 build day for Heads of, Directors, and VPs. No course. No slides. By 5pm you have workflows running on your actual tools, around your actual team.

You leave the call with one specific bottleneck named and a fix sketched — whether or not we end up working together.

§ 01The leak

There’s a specific gap most senior leaders lose four to eight hours a week to.

A good meeting ends. Decisions are made. Actions are discussed.

Then life takes over. The follow-up gets drafted the next day, or two days later, or never. Decisions soften in people’s heads. Ownership goes fuzzy. Next week’s meeting has the same conversation.

The leak isn’t capture. Transcripts are easy. The leak is the 30 minutes of work between a raw transcript and a follow-up that actually lands — and for a leader running ten meetings a week, that gap quietly eats most of their Friday afternoon.

§ 02What I do

One day. 1:1. Built around your actual work.

I don’t change how you lead. I multiply what you can do with the time you already have.

We spend the day implementing a small number of workflows on live work — your actual meetings, your actual team, your actual tools. No new tool required. We build into what you already use: Notion, email, calendar, whatever’s there.

By 5pm you have a meeting-to-follow-through loop that runs in under 30 minutes, every time. Plus 1–2 additional workflows tailored to the shape of your week — typically the weekly brief or a proposal/comms draft loop.

§ 03By 5pm you will have

What you leave with.

  • A repeatable meeting-output format: decisions, actions by owner, deadlines, open questions.
  • A follow-up email that drafts in under 5 minutes, sounds like you, and goes out same day.
  • Lightweight action tracking that doesn't create admin overhead.
  • 1–2 additional workflows tailored to your week.
  • A “rules of the road” card for each workflow: what it does, what it never does, where the human call stays — simple enough to show the team.
  • A short handover doc so the setup keeps running after the day ends.
§ 04Who it's for

Built for Heads of, Directors, and VPs in the “scaling chaos” phase.

You have the tools. You have the team. But the system that holds it all together isn’t quite there yet.

You’ve tried AI. You’ve got access to Claude or ChatGPT. The value has been inconsistent.

You want practical leverage, not another system to maintain. You’d rather have someone make AI work for how you already operate than teach you AI from first principles.

If that’s roughly you, the day is built for you.

§ 05Why me

Why this works when other things haven’t.

I’m an ex-developer and a product designer (UX focused). I spend the day making the workflows usable and durable — not just technically possible. The difference between the two is whether the setup is still running in week 4.

i.

Implementation, not theory.

We build on your live work, not a blank-slate redesign.

ii.

Low maintenance by design.

Daily cost: 0 minutes. Weekly tidy: 10 minutes. Monthly prune: 20 minutes. If it doesn’t degrade gracefully when you’re busy, it won’t last.

iii.

No new tool required.

We build into what you already use. Nothing to migrate, nothing extra to pay for, nothing extra for your team to learn.

§ 06How it works

Three steps, over about two weeks.

Step one

Pre-discovery

60 minutes

I learn how you actually work: what’s messy, what’s working, where the week leaks most.

Step two

Build day

~6 hours, virtual or in-person

We implement on live work. Build, test, simplify. You leave with it running.

Step three

Follow-up refinement

after a week of real use

We tune, remove what didn’t stick, and lock in what did.

§ 07Ready to sketch a fix?

A twenty-minute conversation about where your week actually leaks.

No sales pitch. We spend 20 minutes on where the week leaks most, and I sketch a fix for one specific bottleneck. You leave with something useful whether or not we end up working together.

§ 08Confidentiality

We work in the room, on your systems, in real time.

  • Build days run in your own Claude or ChatGPT account, on a paid/Pro tier. Your transcripts and outputs stay in your environment, not mine.
  • Paid-tier AI only. Those tiers don’t train on your inputs; free and consumer tiers have different defaults, so we don’t use them.
  • Sensitive inputs stay redacted or synthetic. We still build the workflow, just without the real data passing through.
  • I keep a short profile of you in my Notion so a follow-up six months later doesn’t start from zero. The business context we discussed, the workflows we built, what’s working. Not transcripts, not meeting contents. Lead-only details are deleted after 12 months if we don’t end up working together. Active-customer profiles are kept for the engagement plus 12 months.
  • I ask before recording any working session, and only to help me build faster during the engagement. Recordings are deleted within 30 days of the engagement ending, unless you ask me to keep them.
  • Willing to sign a DPA if your procurement team asks. UK-based.
  • Registered with the UK ICO as a data controller.
  • You leave with a short “rules of the road” card for each workflow. Simple enough to show the team, credible enough to satisfy a risk review.
§ 09What it costs

One day. Founding offer for the first 10.

£2,500.

Build day: £2,500. Pre-discovery, build day, and follow-up refinement all included.

For the first 10 clients, there’s a founding offer available in exchange for a short quote, a reference, and optionally a photo I can use as I build this properly.

For context: agency AI programmes run £10,000 and up, and typically leave you with a strategy deck. A build day is a fraction of that and leaves you with working workflows.

45–60 minutes, paid. A prioritised plan and one quick-win template. Lower commitment, useful outcome.

Not ready for a call?

Start with the Voice Fix.

The prompt that makes any AI sound like you, not like an AI. Three steps, ten minutes. Works in ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini.

§ 10Questions people actually ask

A few things worth clearing up.

Is this a course or training?
No. It’s implementation on live work. No slides, no blank-slate redesign. By 5pm the workflows are running in your actual tools.
What tools do I need to have?
Whatever you already use. I’ll build into it. Most leaders already have Notion or similar, a calendar, email, and access to Claude or ChatGPT. That’s enough.
Is it virtual or in-person?
Either. Most clients pick virtual. In-person is available in London.
How long until I see results?
First meeting after the build day. The loop runs same day, every time, from then on.
Will my team notice?
Usually within a week. “Your follow-ups have been really clear recently” is the most common early comment.
What if it doesn’t stick?
The follow-up refinement session is built in. We tune based on real use. If something isn’t sticking, we remove it rather than force it.
